These mushrooms are named after their “oyster-shaped” cap. They often don’t have stems, and if they do, the stems are short. These mushrooms can be sautéed, grilled or fried. 

The White Oyster mushroom is considered to be the most common among the Oyster mushrooms. It is known for its mild flavour and tenderness. Its flavour is often described as woodsy.
