These mushrooms are named after their “oyster-shaped” cap. They often don’t have stems, and if they do, the stems are short. These mushrooms can be sautéed, grilled or fried. 

The Blue Oyster mushroom is blue-grey in colour. Their flavour is commonly referred to as mild, sweet, and woodsy.
